Meet Callum
Co-Owner & Agronomy Specialist
Callum Smith is the co-owner of Precise Agronomy and has spent more than a decade helping farmers across Central Otago improve the productivity and profitability of their farming systems. Having grown up on a farm, he understands the practical challenges farmers face and is passionate about providing honest, tailored advice that delivers long-term results.
Over the past decade, Callum has built Precise Agronomy into a trusted business known for its personalised service, technical expertise and long-term client relationships. Whether developing pasture and crop programmes, recommending seed and agrichemical solutions, or supporting clients throughout the season, he takes pride in helping farmers make informed decisions and achieve the best outcomes for their businesses.
Meet Michael
Agronomy Support / Specialist
Michael hails from Canterbury and has been working alongside Callum since early 2024, bringing a wealth of agronomy knowledge and a reputation for high-level service to local farmers.

Michael is known for his strong technical expertise and his commitment to helping farmers get the most from their land. He combines practical experience with a deep understanding of seeds and chemicals, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions that deliver real results. Farmers value his approachable manner, reliability, and the genuine care he brings to every farm he works with.
Meet Troy
Agronomy Specialist / Animal Health
Troy brings more than 25 years of experience across New Zealand's agricultural sector, with a career spanning agronomy, animal health, rural supplies, and technical field services. Raised on a deer, sheep, and beef farm near Lumsden, he developed a practical understanding of farming from an early age. Since settling in Central Otago in 2015, Troy has built strong relationships with local farmers, earning a reputation for knowledgeable advice, dependable service, and genuine care for every client he works alongside.
Known for his practical, solutions-focused approach, Troy provides expert guidance across seed, agrichemicals, and animal health. He is passionate about helping farmers achieve their goals through unbiased advice and tailored recommendations that deliver long-term results. Outside of work, Troy enjoys making the most of the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and diving, as well as spending time with his wife, Kellie, their family, and following rugby and other sports.
Meet Rachel
Co-Owner & Business Operations
Rachel is one of the owners of Precise Agronomy and keeps the business running behind the scenes. She manages the company's marketing, social media, branding, administration and business systems, while also helping with seed mixing and the occasional delivery when needed. Rachel enjoys creating efficient systems, building the Precise Agronomy brand and ensuring clients receive a professional, friendly experience from their first enquiry through to delivery.
Meet Jo
Administration & Accounts
Jo is the indispensable force in the office, the ultimate hero behind the scenes and the essential glue that keeps Precise Agronomy running smoothly. She expertly manages the administration and accounts, ensuring every piece of paperwork and every transaction is perfectly in place. Her quiet efficiency and long-standing relationship with the owners mean the rest of the team can confidently focus on delivering tailored agronomy support in the field, knowing the business is consistently held together by her meticulous care.
